Harsh Noise Wall is a term used to describe a particular type of Harsh Noise in which a more or less pitchless, rhythm less "wall" of sound is produced. The lack of any 'significant' differentiation has lead some to theorize that it represents a sound – a signifier without a signified. A meaningless sign – or non-sign.

Technical background:
This piece developed from the previous 1 Terabyte (233 disk) piece. Here each of the 510 DVDs contain one single WAVE file of 4 gigabytes of sound. 4 gigabytes being the maximum size a WAVE file can be. (06:45:47.516) <> 6.7 hours = 143.7 days total Continuous Wall.
